Would you like to have a cinema in your neighbourhood where you can watch both the latest Tom Cruise blockbuster and current arthouse films? At Filmrausch, you can see both in their original versions. Would you like to support young filmmakers? Filmrausch gives them the opportunity to present their films in the cinema and interact directly with the audience. Perhaps you would also like to support voluntary work? Filmrausch is run exclusively by volunteers who are committed to promoting a vibrant cinema culture.

Join us in our commitment to a vibrant cinema culture
We recently completely renovated Filmrausch, which means we lack the financial buffer to absorb the rising costs everywhere. We want our programme to remain as diverse as it is. However, this is not possible under the current conditions. More films always mean higher costs.
But that’s not all: the extra costs for special events such as film retrospectives and 35mm screenings are so high that a cinema like ours can no longer afford them. In addition, there are always urgent investments to be made in our cinema technology, on which our entire operation depends. The tight financial constraints we operate under are now affecting our freedom to make decisions about our programme. So we are looking for ways to continue showing you the programme you have come to expect from us. And because necessity is the mother of invention, we have come up with a plan:

Become a supporting member!
You can help us by becoming a supporting member. We want to use the membership fees to secure a better financial foundation. You can choose between 16mm, 35mm and 70mm membership, which not only supports us but also benefits you. You will receive a membership card that is valid for one year. Depending on your membership, this card entitles you to reduced or heavily discounted admission, discounted snacks, recognition as a supporting member at the cinema, or a discount on hall rental. All supporting members are invited to a large annual celebration and have full voting rights at the association’s annual general meeting.
